Steering, Legislative & Governmental Committee

Meetings are held at the Historic County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Room 205.
First Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Purpose
In addition to its responsibility as the nominating committee for all the other standing committees, the Steering Committee considers and recommends to the full Board solutions to any question or dispute arising over the jurisdiction and authority of existing committees. It decides whether a select committee should be created to handle a new problem or to which existing committee the problem should be referred. It also reviews existing rules and procedures of the County Board of Commissioners and proposes new ones when warranted.*
