Rutherford County and CareHere have joined forces to provide a Tobacco Cessation Program!
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Full time active employees covered by the county’s health insurance plan and employee spouses who are also employed full time by the county are eligible. Not covered under the plan? Continue to 3rd course.
How Rutherford County Is Helping:
The county is paying the majority of the cost for you in order to help you quit!
What You Need To Do To Join In:
Contact Tammie Leftwich to confirm that you would like to be a participant.
The employee cost is a simple payment of $150.00, which can be payroll deducted in up to 3 Easy Payments!
What You Receive For Participating:

8 week class created by the American Lung Association

Support of the CareHere Health Coach

Support from the CareHere Provider

3 Month Supply of the new drug Chantix
(used to help tobacco users quit, unless physician feels drug is not best for you)
Commitment Counts! Quitting tobacco is a life-long commitment to support your health and CareHere will remain with you along this path!
What the Program Requires:

You must attend the American Lung Association Group Workshop for 8 weeks.

Attend all follow-up visits with the provider (Total of 7 visits).

You will be asked to have your Health Risk Assessment done at CareHere and will review results with the physician.

If physician approves, you will receive Chantix from the CareHere clinic.

2) Cigna Quit Today:
CIGNA Quit Today! Offers a FREE program to those employees, spouses, and dependents covered under the County health insurance plan. A wellness coach will support you by phone conference. Participants will receive a toolkit which includes a workbook, relaxation CD, & nicotine replacement therapy for 8 to 12 weeks, as well as access to a 24 hour support line. Call today-1-866-417-QUIT
3) Tennessee Tobacco Quit Line:
For ALL TN Residents:
The Tennessee Tobacco Quit line: 1-800-Quit-Now is available to all residents. NO insurance required. This FREE program includes a workbook and a Quit Coach. After 12 months, 25% of participants are tobacco-free. For more information go to: http://health.state.tn.us/tobaccoquitline.htm
