Long Term Disability (LTD)

LTD Plan Document (SPD) pdf

Rutherford County Government provides eligible employees a LTD insurance plan as part of the benefit package. Eligibility for the benefit is determined by the same guidelines for all other benefits:

All Full-time active and Part-time active Board of Education, County General and Highway Employees, who are citizens or legal residents of the United States, its territories and protectorates, excluding temporary, leased or seasonal employees.

The insured plan provides a benefit of 66.67% of your earnings to a maximum of $6,000 per month. You must be disabled for at least 180 days before you can receive the LTD benefit.

Coverage as well as the actual benefit are subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

The policy is insured with CIGNA.

Note: Plan effective date is January 1, 2012.
