It has been my privilege to serve the citizens of Rutherford County for many years. My experience within the department includes working in detention, patrol division, a member of the F.A.S.T. Team, firearms instructor, self-defense trainer and Marine Patrol. I am currently assigned as a supervisor in the SRO Division.
Lieutenant Brad Harrison began his career with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer. Then Officer Harrison joined the Patrol Division. He was made a Field Training Officer within the Patrol Division. He served with the Sheriff's Office F.A.S.T. Team (tactical team) where he received training in sniper/ counter sniper, building entry, hostage rescue, survival training, anti-terrorism, Incident Command and National Incident Management (NIMS).
Lieutenant Harrison is a firearms instructor for the Sheriff's Office. He is also member of the Marine Patrol which protects the local waterways in our county.
Officer Harrison joined the School Resource Officer Division and was assigned to LaVergne High School, Roy Waldron and Wilson Elementary. Deputy Harrison was promoted to Sergeant and then promoted to Lieutenant. In addition to his supervisory responsibilities, Lieutenant Harrison is currently assigned as a Field Supervisor and Emergency Response Coordinator for the over forty schools within Rutherford County.
Lieutenant Harrison has been designated as Rutherford County's Response Coordinator and liaison for the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security.
