A Message from Superintendent Harry Gill

Each year the tremendous growth of our county continues to bring many new faces and new challenges to our schools. But thanks to a strong cooperative relationship with Sheriff Truman Jones and the Sheriff’s Department, I am proud to say we have one of the most safe and secure school systems in Tennessee.

Working alongside the School Resource Officers, we take a proactive stance to school safety by constantly reviewing and testing procedures through various drills and practice scenarios. These officers do more than simply patrol the hallways, they work daily within our schools and classrooms to build a trusting rapport with our students.

To have an effective school system, our teachers and students must have safe environments that promote an atmosphere of learning. As the Director of Schools and as a parent, I have every confidence that our schools will remain secure thanks to the diligence of the School Resource Officers and our school administrators.
