Damage Locations Interactive Search
An interactive search option is available by Agency, Building Type, Building Purpose and Damage Type. Each category has a drop down arrow allowing for a customized view of the Tornado Damage Data. Double click on an address or map point and the map will zoom to that location. A small pop-up window will display the selected area and using the slider bar within the pop-up window the view can be changed from the before (far left) to the after (far right) view of the property.
The damage points have been classified according to FEMA Damage Assessment Criteria:
• Green is Affected Habitable
• Yellow is Minor
• Orange is Major
• Red is Destroyed
A “Heat Map” was generated from the damage assessment data and can be viewed by selecting Heat Map from the Points drop down arrow. It reflects the density of damage within your map view.
