Rutherford County Government is anticipating applying for the CDBG-CV Addressing Food Insecurity grant opportunity announced by the TN Department of Economic & Community Development. The county is moving forward with the collaborative application process. This project is to purchase equipment and supplies to increase the food distribution and capacity of local nonprofits that prepare and/or provide food and have food pantry facilities to service low- and moderate-income families.  Eligible agencies can apply through the county’s RFP process.

If Rutherford County is awarded this funding, the county will purchase the requested equipment and supplies to be distributed to the participating partner agencies. Funding for the proposed project will be conditional upon compliance with all applicable federal, tribal, state, and local laws, regulations, and conditions.
